I wonder

I wonder

If I’ll ever become a star,

Like my grandma used to say

“When you die, my sweet child

Your body turns

Into pixie dust

And your soul into a star.”

I wonder

If my soul

Will ever see the light

Or walk on heaven’s path?

Shiny golden yellow

Surrounded by clouds

And sparks

I wonder

If I walk on the rainbow,

Will I ever see the gold?

That they often talk about

The shiny, sparkling pot!

I wonder,

If I’ll see my mother again

In heaven

On the rainbow

Or when I become a star!

To feel like home

With her warm embrace,

After years of being apart.

One day

I’ll  just be with you.

One day in the woods far away,

One day under the sun, by the bay.

One day, I’ll buy you flowers,

The other day, under grey sky with heavy showers!

One day I’ll kiss you with delight,

And until we grow old, I shall hold you tight.
